Description

Giuliano di Lecce, fraction of Castrignano del Capo, Salento - Apulia

D'AMICO IMMOBILIARE offers for sale an Ancinet House dating back to 1700 in the historic center of Giuliano di Lecce, with its unique charm. The house is on the ground floor, with a large cellar in the basement, and an attic on the first floor, with panoramic views of the historic center. The Ancinet House for sale has a total covered area of 80 square meters and a courtyard garden of 50, in addition to the terraces on the upper floor, walkable.

According to the renovation project, the house consists of a living room, kitchen, 1 fireplace, 1 large bathroom, 2 bedrooms, cellar to be used according to your needs - for example bedroom in cave and bathroom- and a bedroom on the first floor. In the garden there is a Living area with a possible Pergola.  There is the possibility to build a pool in the garden, or a mini pool or Jacuzzi on the terrace.

Recently, in Giuliano di Lecce numerous karst cavities, caves, but also tunnels excavated in the Middle Ages, to hide from the incursions of overseas peoples, have been discovered for which a recovery project is planned, in order to consolidate everything and make it accessible to tourists. These caves cover the entire perimeter of the historic center. They cover hundreds and hundreds of square metres of underground covered surface.

The Anica House for sale is located in Giuliano di Lecce, hamlet of Castrignano del Capo

The City of Giuliano di Lecce is 63 kilometers from Lecce and 127 from Salento Airport, in Brindisi.

GIULIANO DI LECCE, according to some historians, seems to have been built on the remains of a farmhouse of the Early Middle Ages. And it would develop around the main church dedicated to Saint Giovanni Crisostomo. The suburban church of San Pietro is a small jewel of medieval sacred architecture. It was erected in the tenth century near a well, called bon bere, where the oral tradition says that Saint Peter was quenched after having resurrected a dead man and having converted to the Christian faith four thousand Gentiles (Pagans).

Giuliano is also famous for the "tajate", that is, ancient rock quarries from which bricks were extracted by hand for the construction of the houses. In this very evocative setting, was set the last film of Winspeare "In grazia di Dio". The small inhabited village winds through alleys and courts, fortified palaces and well-wishing epigraphs until you reach the mysterious loggia of the sneers that testifies with its apotropaic figures the taste for extravagant and provocative typical of the Baroque age. The old center of Giuliano is among the few to still guard the feudal Castle dating back to the sixteenth century. Also in the center, in Via Regina Elena, is the menhir Mensi. It is one of the few specimens left in the Cape of Leuca. Made of local carparo and measuring 2.34 meters high.

A few kilometers from the village of Giuliano di Lecce, there are the beautiful beaches of PESCOLUSE and the Maldives of Salento. TORRE VADO, with its natural springs of cold water. SANTA MARIA DI LEUCA is the extreme point of Salento, where the Adriatic Sea and the Ionian Sea meet, famous for its 19th century villas, the lighthouse, the promenade and the coastal caves.
